Quantitative Equity Portfolio Management International Program

  SDA Bocconi School of Management Presented by SDA Bocconi School of Management and CFA Institute, the course focuses on quantitative tools and techniques to build and manage tactical equity portfolios. After a brief introduction of the fundamental quantitative techniques and of the theoretical framework of stock market anomalies and return patterns, the attention will be devoted to the construction of short term return forecasting models and to the implementation of tactical long-only and market-neutral portfolio strategies. The course is designed according to a rigorous hands-on approach: every theoretical lesson will be followed by a computer-based session where the various techniques will be tested on real market data. At the end of the course students will be asked to build and test their own model.

McIntire School of Commerce Led by the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, the program combines academic and practitioner input from experts in the field of leveraged and distressed credit markets. It provides participants with an intensive and detailed grounding in the workings of distressed corporate debt markets. Topics may include the syndicated bank loan market, including characteristics of bank debt, how loans are traded, and the rights of debt holders at various levels of capital structure priority; the financial restructuring process for credits in distress, including the role of loan investors, both within and outside of bankruptcy; and trading and investing leveraged credit in distressed debt markets. Interactive case studies are used to help participants fully understand and apply these concepts to their daily work.
